The Waning of October

The days are getting shorter and my favorite time of the day is to wake very early, lighting little candles with a soft glow, to plan a new day. The quiet morning with the pitter-patter of rain on the cabin roof is so soothing this early morning. A great weekend ahead at the studio today with hooking friends who are working on their rugs. It’s always nice to be back on schedule and see what everyone is working on.

A nice group has confirmed their attendance for today. Fridays are open to classes for individuals or groups. Last Friday, Sara spent the morning for a class on color, as she designs a needlepoint project. Color is a wonderful inspiration in everything we do! An expected visitor is coming to spend time on Friday to further her knowledge in rug hooking and do some shopping! Saturday is “Needle Play Saturday” and a few old friends are stopping by to play!

The studio is open to everyone for your rug hooking needs! Wool: hand-dyed, special orders, and off-the-bolt! All are pre-washed and ready to hook! There are also all kinds of extras as well: frames, hooks, linen, wool applique, Valdani threads, DMC threads, rug hooking patterns, and gifts! Stop by and have a cup!

Be sure to let me know what classes you would like and we can arrange that! Braiding, Christmas In Wool, and Wool Applique classes are in the works!

It’s always beautiful here in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, so grab a girlfriend(s) and a tank of gas! Fiddlehead Finery is a happy place to come, create, and forget your cares for a few days!

See you soon!
