A very exciting and busy month I had on the road. My trusty little van and “I” travelled to Punta Gorda Fl for a wonderful 2 days at the Searsport Hookin. Both days I taught a mini class and and met mostly new people to add to “Hookers”! I even had Paulette from up my way.
I will teaching and vending again next Feb at their venue.
New ideas to explore and another folk art class!
Packed that van and headed to Naples for the Naples Quilt Guild show. A demo on 3d wool embellishments. When I packed from there I headed to my brother and sister-in-laws in Ocala for a short rest. Cold and rain but a comfy bed and great hospitality! By the way Judy helped me and managed the cash register and sales. Could not have done it with out her.
Back in the car and drove to Michigan with a stop in Tipp City Ohio and visited Sally and Steve at the Gallery. What a great time playing a more than fun Bingo game with dancing and wonderful people. I won earplugs but traded them as I don’t hear myself snore.
Wonderful couple!! Attended church with them in am and off to southern Mi. Picked up Colleen from Northwater Quilts and we headed to Lancaster Pa to AQA show to vend. Another great time meeting new people and seeing Mike and Sue from Hearts To Holly Quilt Shop here in Charlevoix. Had fun shopping and enjoying this wonderful town.
“On the road again” and headed home sweet home!
I must say I gathered much inspiration from all of the art around me!
New ideas I need to get off the ground before the weather breaks (yes it will eventually)!
Keep posted as I have new events coming here at the studio, 6 weeks class to begin on April 10: We will be hooking a Rooster with Prodding, and other combined techniques.
I will be having a big studio sale after Easter with lots of wool, hooking items, patterns at big savings!
The FALL HARVEST HOOKIN is in the plans and will let you know it is the first weekend in Oct, so mark your calendars Oct 3 & 4th.

Sorry I missed you. I too was in Lancaster , Pa for the Woolwright’s Rug Show and visiting the Fitzgerald’s. One of my hooking friends here in Ct. attended the Quilt Show there. Never enough time to do it all. Maybe next time.
